  1. I was 6'3 at 15 yrs old and only 120 lbs. I did finally get up to 150, but it was super hard to maintain it. Had my metabolism tested & it was slow. & obesity runs in my family. Later in life I gradually got to 170, but it was nearly impossible to keep it on & I would drop all the way back to 150. No diet worked. Nothing worked. but I hear how some people will gain 10 pounds in a weekend. What were they doing? Sitting there just eating all day? That's when I realized that that's what I had to do. I basically have to pretend I have an imaginary friend next to me. After drinking a glass of milk, I wait about 15 to 30 minutes & go get another. After eating dinner, I wait about 30 minutes, then I go eat again. All the sudden, Bam! I started gaining weight. Immediate results.

  2. In the United States, about 40 million gallons of fresh milk is wasted every year, according to the World Wildlife Fund, and this food waste hurts both hungry communities and the environment. In addition, studies show that diets high in sucrose or fructose increase diet-induced thermogenesis because fructose is inefficient for the liver to metabolize and because sucrose is rapidly metabolized and stimulates sympathetic and melanocortin activity. High-sucrose diets also activate the Krebs cycle (increasing your metabolic rate and possibly even your risk of cancer), and feeding rats sucrose water induces proton leak and increases uncoupling proteins. All of this means that calories from soft drinks or fruit juice are used inefficiently, and the TUG mechanism acts much like the renal threshold to waste some of the calories as heat when glucose and insulin levels rise too high. By contrast, dairy has nutrients that may decrease your metabolism, including calcium and vitamin D (which help lower sympathetic activity) and iodine and selenium (which may reduce thyroid activity and/or high T3 levels resulting from overfeeding). Also, the fat and protein in dairy are stored efficiently as body mass, and these nutrients give milk its calories and glucose-lowering benefits via GLP-1 production in the gut.

Here are some benefits of drinking more milk (instead of soft drinks or even 100% fruit juice).

    • Naturally low in sugar and high in protein
    • Has far more nutrients than 100% fruit juices
    • Lactose in milk slowly assimilated compared to sucrose
    • Whole milk doesn’t spike glucose or insulin levels
    • Saturated fat present in milk actually doesn’t increase cholesterol
    • Regular milk consumption may actually improve dyslipidemia
    • Improves postprandial glycemia when consumed with other foods
    • Free of fructose – which can cause insulin resistance and fatty liver
    • Provides calcium, vitamin D, B vitamins, selenium, and iodine
    • Helps build and maintain strong bones over a lifetime
    • Protein and calcium in dairy may help lower blood pressure
    • Doesn’t contain calcium-leeching phosphoric acid or caffeine
    • Provides much better satiety than soft drinks or juice (slower gastric emptying and metabolism of nutrients)
    • High calcium diet may protect against breast and colon cancer
    • Intracellular calcium protective against cancer cell lines
    • Serum vitamin D highly protective against cancers
    • CLA in whole milk may protect against cancers

  3. being underweight is bad, for me as a woman it affects my mentruation cycle, hormones, energy and Idk if its related but i also got a pretty bad case of scoliosis from lifting up heavy objects (from sculpting)
So thank you for this video, i will take notes of everything and keep a record!

  4. Grew up poor. Eat whatever you can but you have to make it last. Its hard to get out of that mind set. My body says "you have had enough to make it through the day. Keep working dont be lazy." I skip eating so much that when i started tracking my cal it was so low it made me sick

  5. When I was trying to bulk I got called "stick and "twig" quite often.
It was '"funny" because I would move 1 ton of fruit, play an hour of basketball, do 300 situps, 100 pushups, 100 squats, 100 dumbbells, and 5 minutes of plank and I'd weigh in at right around 120lbs every single day for three years.
I ate my All American Cousin's diet too, didn't work.
Losing 30 lbs in 6 days dropping me to 90lbs because my body couldn't handle the weight and the flu certainly didn't help. Or when it happened again to 98

I got stronger. But what's stronger when women still call you a "twig" for being in the buff place?

  6. how about someone with high metabolism? i ate a lot, check calories and still don't gain weight. i feel frustrated about it, but i'm trying a method though with exercise so i hope it does work this time.
