  1. I looked into keto because within the course of 1.5 months I went from weighing 138-154. Im a 27 yr old guy. Had a six pack and it completely disappeared. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I couldn’t walk or even sit comfortably, let alone feel good in my clothes.

After reading about what could be causing this I landed on excessive carb intake or I was developing insulin sensitivity.

So I did a day with less than 50 carbs. I began to feel slightly more comfortable in my clothes the next day. So then I cut down to 25 carbs.

Within 4 days of 25g net cargs a day, I was back down to 140. I’ve realized that all of that weight was inflammation. Calories are callries when it comes to fat burning and gain, however calories are not calories when it comes to weight gain from inflammation. I could have cut down to 1600 calories a day – but if it was carb based, I wouldn’t have lost nearly the amount of weight that actually mattered, the water weight from inflammation

  2. 2 months ago I've changed my diet due to very bad blood sugar of 250 and astronomical lvl of blood pressure. Didn't even know I'm keto now. So fart 32lbs down, from 344.

  3. Someone may have already said this, in addition to taking pics of yourself, take measurements as well. You may have said that, Steve, and I just missed it. It's true that you may not see much movement on the scale, but you will see your measurements decreasing. So, take measurements before starting Keto. Great video, Steve!

  4. I’m using keto test strips to monitor my levels and I find it easy to enter the moderate level, is this too much and should I be having reads in the small keto zone?
I’ve not cut out carbs all together and a typical dinner is homemade beef pasty with lots of broccoli, I also take a broccoli supplement of sulforaphane.
I’m finding being in a keto sis state pretty easy to be honest!

  5. I wanted to report on my progress because your tips really helped. I did Keto for 2 months from March 20th to May 20th. I lost 23 pounds (191 to 168). My goal was 170, but the last day I did it I got food poisoning and didn't eat for 2 days after that. So I guess a good stomach bug does help 😂.

Regardless, I felt amazing when I was in ketosis. I had a plan to do it just for a few months. I've stopped doing Keto just to eat some foods I missed. However, I am certainly monitoring what I eat so much more.

    Again thanks for your tips.

  6. This is such practical advice, especially the part about not telling everyone! Focusing on feeling good and experimenting to see what works best is key, and I've found that incorporating MCTBoost really helps keep me feeling full and energized throughout the day.

  7. 1/2020 Diabetes,Menopause, Bp144/88, 280lbs.
    Keto + intermittent fasting
today 220,A1c.6.4,bp 117/66. No meds! I am at a plateau now & will have to cut out cheese. And exercise more. When I hit 195, my diabetes should be in complete remission.

  8. Steve I find (of course) that I lose the weight on Keto but have trouble sticking with it or it “mutates” gradually. Any tips on staying the course? I find that I gradually forget how I lost the weight and start slowly adding back carbs in some form.

  9. Great points, Steve! It’s so true that focusing on real food and not getting caught up in perfection is key. I’ve found that a good routine and consistency are really important, and incorporating BioKeto into my morning definitely helps me stay on track.

  10. I was / am over weight and always stayed away from having my picture taken. I wish I would have had a before picture.
My husband had a heart attack and passed on in July of 2021. I decided right then and there that I was going to eat healthier. Without knowing it or trying my clothes were a little looser and when I stepped on the scale I had lost 30 pounds from 190 to 160. When a friend asked what I was doing I told her what I was eating and she said oh your doing keto, I had never heard of it. So looked into it and started actually doing keto to get a stubborn 10 more pounds down to 148. Then, I don't know why I started self sabotaging myself eating what I knew was wrong, over eating etc.. if I had a before and after I probably would never have put 30 pounds back on.
I'm starting again and know I can do it but this time I am going to have the before and after pictures. Thank you

  11. Thank you for this video ! I just started keto – as a pescaterien. I am so confused as to what I can eat or not, it's awful. As you said there is so much information on the web. Do you know about or have a list of foods that are keto friendly ?

  12. Hi new here to the keto journey!! I have epilepsy not to mention very curvy woman. Ive had a couple of doctors who have told me that my epilepsy could get better if i either lost weight doing some sort of diet or doing the keto diet. Ive had a lot of people tell me that keto has worked wonders for people who have epilepsy and have done my own research into it as well. So im doing all that i can to get started on this journey. Just had my last day of have lots of carbs. Saying goodbye to all those sugary, high carb, high calorie foods. Definitely going to the gym tomorrow and having extra time on the treadmill. These tips are very helpful. Already saved a video of how to make keto cheez its and very excited to try it.

  13. There are homade recipes for electrolytes. Most of the store or Amazon sources are 40 plus a month. Check them out , the ingredients are pennies on the dollar. Popular companies, I think it is LMNT or KetoChow share the recipe to help all of us. Lots of folks dont mind paying for convenience of a packet mixed in water and the flavors are amazing! For me 140 lbs later electrolytes are in my life forever. It's nice to save money.

  14. Thank you, this is very reassuring. I tried keto, and low carb, but always fall back into a heavy carb junk food pattern again. After your advice I think I struggled with dehydration, electrolytes and poor gut health. I haven’t got much money, so can’t afford to buy health treat, ents, but after your video I think I can work things in and out of my weekly shop. Nightime insomnia and munchies are a struggle. I think I’ve been using a sugar low crash to get to sleep.

  15. Great tips, Steve! For anyone just starting, remember that the keto police aren't real—focus on nutrient-dense foods and find a sustainable routine that works for your lifestyle. Don't be afraid to adjust macros as you learn what your body responds to best.

  16. I’m so thankful to have found your channel! I’ve been considering the keto diet for numerous reasons, besides weight loss. I need to lose around 30 pounds but I also have an autoimmune disease and had brain cancer a few years ago when I was 32. I’m cancer free but struggle from memory loss, cognitive issues, brain fog, fatigue, etc. I’m on a ton on medication that contribute to these issues. When I started researching the benefits of this diet, I was so impressed but also overwhelmed by the content. You have made it more approachable. Can’t wait to get started and regain control of my health. ❤
