After breaking his leg, undergraduate student Luke Durward used his time to return home and mentor his little brother on healthy eating. While illustrating his brother’s dramatic transformation, Durward shares the obvious secret that is repeatedly overlooked by unsuccessful dieters.

I’ve been managing this same exact situation, it’s great when I manage his environment, however, even after teaching him, when he makes his own decisions he does not create the environment to thrive. For example, he recently got a new job making his own money, he spends it on chips and snacks. Although his environment has remained the same. Any insight from a professional within the field would be appreciated. For reference he used to weigh 275.

  2. Me: "Mom, please don't buy any chocolate or chips when you go to the grocerie store."

    My mother: "Ok."

    *after she comes back from the grocerie store

    My mother: "Hey son, I bought you some chips and chocolate. I know you said you didn't want any but I know you actually do want them and it's only an exception (she does it almost every day)."

    Me: 😑🙄
