  1. Sure am glad I found this how to guide on getting diabetes and becoming obese like the rest of my fat “healthy” friends. Gotta love these propaganda pieces by “independent” groups, independent from everyone that doesn’t support them financially that is.

  2. There is no spices and uh… mushrooms on the food pyramid. Also there's no drinks on there. You could've had a V8. There's, no seafood on the pyramid, either. Except fish, but, no crab, lobster, shellfish, muscles (scallops and oysters). and no shrimp.

  3. It's really simple, eat natural food. Eat lots of veggies, fruits, nuts, beans, enough meat, some dairy. Use seasoning and olive oil. Avoid sugar and salt. Drink lots of water. Get lots of exercise. Get lots of sunshine for Vit D and sleep for good health.

  4. Nut, Oat and Soy "Milks" are mostly water and are loaded with extra chemicals and added sugars. Might as well just drink Cow or Goat Milk that doesn't have antibiotics, artificial growth hormones and isn't genetically modified.

  5. The food pyramid in America is an absolute unhealthy scam, but we all know how much America likes to poison it's citizens and use them in experiments without their knowledge or permission. My question is though, if you can get carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables, why do you even need to eat grains at all? Can't you just eat more fruits and vegetables and eliminate grains altogether?

  6. Eating 1 egg per day is just as bad as smoking 5 cigarettes per day for life expectancy & one serving of processed meat per day increases risk of developing diabetes by 51%.. The World Health Organization has classified processed meats including ham, bacon, salami and frankfurts as a Group 1 carcinogen (known to cause cancer) which means that there's strong evidence that processed meats cause cancer. Eating processed meat increases your risk of bowel and stomach cancer, along with heart disease. Compared to people eating plant-based protein, those who ate a diet rich in red meat had triple the levels of a chemical linked to heart disease. Within minutes of eating meat, the body gets a burst of inflammation, stiffening or paralyzing the arteries.

There is a strong link between dairy foods and autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, asthma, allergic rhinitis, multiple Sclerosis, & type 1 diabetes. You might not have them now but they tend to come later in life plus milk does not build strong bones. In fact, in studies, milk actually caused bones to become more brittle. Countries with the highest rates of dairy consumption have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Casomorphin may play a role in sudden infant death syndrome (sids) and autism. & casomorphin is the main protein in
    dairy.

The four worries of fish: pcb's, mercury, saturated fat and cholesterol. Pcb's adversely affect brain development, results in lower iq, & increase cancer risk & mortality in cardiac patients. Fish have become mercury sponges and toxins bio-accumulate in fish flesh. 1 in 4 fish contains microplastics (and that number is only rising). Research has shown microplastics has the potentiality for metabolic disturbance, neurotoxicity as well as carcinogenic effects. It has been shown that microplastics can act as endocrine disruptors, thus interfering with normal hormone function and potentially causing weight gain.

  7. I’m not from Australia, but this was so helpful. I was really overcomplicating things the last couple of weeks, but this really reminded me that the answers I’m looking for is built-in, because this all makes automatic sense

  8. I was diagnosed with GP. I am overweight. In 2003 I had a laparoscopic Nissen and ever since I cannot drink carbonated drinks and I can only drink with a straw. When I was a kid I have always had a very hard time being able to eat many different types of foods like many fruits and vegetables. My entire life if I was to eat a salad I would get sick the minute I put it in my mouth let alone if I was to get any of it down? For example, if I have a burger it could only have the bun meat and cheese and no spread of any kind. No mayo etc. If I was to have a tuna fish sandwich it could only be made with butter plane. I have been trying to lose weight but have been having a hard time doing so? I was just put on a medication called Metformin because I was told I was producing too much insulin and that was causing me to gain weight? I hate the food pyramid and even the my plate because they don't address issues like GP and other dietary issues? Because I am legally blind and use a power chair with limited mobility it's hard to read labels and count calories to be healthy and know what will help me lose weight and live healthier? I wish someone could make a video about this issue?
