  1. Chocolate cream Oreos dipped in milk are one of those foods I just cannot allow myself to have around when I'm trying to diet. Sure I could practice moderation, if it weren't for the pig demon inside me that demands an entire sleeve. Especially if I'm distracted. If I'm watching a good show and I start dipping Oreos in milk, it's over. I'm gaining five pounds immediately.

  2. Just read an ebook called Fit and Fueled really helpful if you're trying to start meal prepping without overcomplicating things.
I got it on Gumroad just search Fit and Fueled: Meal Prep Strategies for Weight Loss on their site if you're curious.

  3. I cracked the code when I avoided simple carbohydrates, e.g. white flour and sugar. They spike my blood sugar, make me look and feel bloated, make me hungrier and wanting to eat more. Avoiding them and keeping my blood sugar stable with low-glycemic foods has been a game changer for me.

  4. Coming from a guy with a beer belly, he does shopping videos buying the most processed junk food and drinks while reaching so hard to justify buying garbage food. Just check out the stuff he buys from the grocery store.

  5. I have started my weight loss journey two weeks ago. The first few days were hard af, but for the past 7 days I have put in at least 13k steps a day, actually I put 100k steps in the past 7 days. Also, I have been eating clean and having a caloric deficit of 1000 each day.
I am a big dude…Last Thursday was the first day I weighted myself and I was at 132kg. Today I am at 128.3. Sure, a lot of it is just water, but I can already feel better.

I have been weighting my food and counting the macros. I have been eating a lot of Kinoa, Brown Rice, Lentils, avocado, egg whites, Veggies(Brocooli, Cauliflower and carrots), greens, greek yogurt, blueberries xD… and of course, meat, mostly chicken breast and lean beef.

Lastly, I have been eating an ice cream of around 320kcal every day. It makes me happy and it is not affecting my weight loss journey. I found that it is much easier to keep focused and motivated.

  6. Taking fat loss advice from Dr Mike is like taking financial advice from a twice-bankrupt gambling addict. He's doesn't know how to get lean, has never been lean and has one of the worst diets anyone has ever seen in a bodybuilding context

  7. When it comes to creatine I think about it like this. I have been a natural lifter for about 20 years and think I have probably reached my natural limit. I can always loose weight to look better. I take 10g of creatine a day and have been almost every day for 18 years. So I think about it like this…. Although I might not grow to much anymore, I will loose what I have slower…. So i am trying to futureproof a little here. It is friustrating to not get that magic out of creatine like in the past, but I can defo feel a little energy reduction and general commitment loss when I am off it. So I persist with it, and hopefully I can train trhough my 50s now and keep my max lift numbers consistent or through technique and training methods increase it slightly. …. but I am not expecting any magic…. just hard word 5 days a week, and 10g of creatine to make the engine a little lighter on petrol.

  8. No one ever mentions drinking water enough. I’m convinced it’s the miracle we are all looking for.

I drink 150 ounces of water a day, and NEVER have the room to gorge on a meal, don’t crave bad food, and alcohol sounds awful when actually hydrated.

  9. Sugar will spike your bloodsugar and forces your body to spike insuline. This will result in an unbalanced blood sugar level which is unhealthy. And you will also crave more food once the sugar rush is over. So indirectly it is signaling your body to eat more.

  10. When I was figuring out a good allergy, I literally ate nothing but steak and eggs for a month. I lost 15 pounds and put on muscle because it was straight protein and even eating till I was full, I was well under my calorie capacity. Plus it was fucking delicious

  11. Mike has gone wrong here like many do

Its not that sugar makes you fat directly, its that it makes you insulin resistant, it gets you addicted , and then your body breaks and you get fat.
Being fat is not the cause, its a symptom

  12. I'm dieting atm. I've lost 6kg in about as many weeks. I have a mixed fruit smoothie in the morning, usually mixed berries, half a banana (which i recently swapped out for a scoop of banana protein powder. not as good but i struggle to get protein in my diet), milk, 0 fat yoghurt, a spoon of real honey. It fills me up very nicely for the morning and because I struggle eating in the morning it's so much easier (especially because I use frozen fruit that i rinse before blending). I then usually go through the day with nothing, and at the end of the day have a chicken breast with salad (usually just lettuce and tomato). The problem I'm running into is I don't think I'm getting enough carbs or protein, and I think I'm cutting too many calories, I'd say max I'm getting 1100 calories give or take 100. I started at 99kg, down to 93 now. I feel fine for the most part, though I think I'm noticing muscle loss which is why I'm trying the protein powder.

The thing is, I've always struggled losing weight, and people keep telling me that my calorie intake isn't enough, but it's really working, I can see the weight drop off almost weekly at this point, just how dangerous is it to keep this up?

Oh I should probably say too, I have a coffee during the day too usually, with no milk and no sugar, which took some getting used to, and I only drink water pretty much always.
