7 Steps to Starting the KETO DIET (Easy & HEALTHY)

The ketogenic way of eating is the easiest, most sustainable diet I’ve ever recommended as a family doctor. You can use it to reverse obesity, inflammation and other symptoms of chronic disease. It is easy to start, and easy to maintain.

You can get started by following these simple steps. Many feel better after only the first 3 steps. You will easily implement these 7 steps as you begin your health journey. Start with step 1 and work your way as quickly, or as slowly as you like towards step 7.

Your body and mind are built by what your eat. Feed your body the foods of strength, and your mind the foods of wisdom. Your ancestors knew of these foods, and you will rediscover them yourself. Don’t hesitate, let’s Keto.

  1. After my daughter talked me into Keto by watching your YouTube video, I’ve gone from an A1C of 9.8 to 5.6 while stopping my 90 units of insulin a day. I’ve cut out fluid meds and cut blood pressure meds in half all while losing 46 lbs. this all happened in 60 days. Thank you Dr. Ken.

  2. I try to eat asuch whole foods as possible…fell off the band wagon…but I really felt my best eating WHOLE FOODS😊😊😊 TOTAL cholesterol improved, and HGBA1c improved…prob went up since I fell off the band wagon…back on the wagon I Go

  3. God told Abraham there will always be strife between the descendants of Ishmael and descendants of Isaac. So, the conflict will never go away until the end of the age and new heaven and earth are created.

  4. I am 19 years old. I think i have on all my teeth cavities excpet the front. But they are also getting weak. I am always tired and I feel most of the time depressed. I can't enjoy going out with friends. I end up getting a bad headeache. I have lots of mood swings. I have days i cant sleep because of how much my legs hurt (i feel like it is the bone) and my feet do hurt also very bad (and at the same time it is burning). I feel lost. I am faling my classes for the second time. And i am still procrastinating everything i have to do. I feel like failure. I alsk have pollen allergy. I cant sleeep because my legs hurt and i also cant breath normally. I am so so so frustrated and angry… because if i would have been nicer to myself i wouldn't be in this situation rn. I want to start taking care of my health. But i dont know where to start. I hope i can do the keto diet.

  5. Keto newbie here. Last weekend I binged on your Keto videos and started right away, tossing some foods in the trash and making a healthy grocery list. I felt like a different person in 3 days with less puffiness in legs and ankles, and my abdomen is not as extended as it usually is at the end of the day. It's now been 1 week and I feel good and have more energy. I believe I'll stick to this and IF also. The only downside is spending more time in the kitchen . 🙂 I'll get used to it. Thank you Dr. Ken.

  6. I have not decided to adopt the ketogenic diet. First I would appreciate it if you would direct me to the epidemiological evidence that shows the health and longevity benefits of the diet.

  7. I am on carnivore, feal great, did it for health and gut issues but I am 57 years old, 1.67 cm tall and 50kg now like when I was 20, I do not want to lose more kg…..some carbs maybe like sweat potatoes carrots things to be cooked, no raw vegetables 🤐what to eat so I do not get to skinny…….

  8. No way on Earth I’m going to not be able to eat a home grown tomato or soup beans (pinto beans), cucumbers or watermelon or a peach
In the good ol’ summertime. I guess I’ll die fat. Too late for me.

  9. This is my second time doing keto.i am struggling .ketosis is harder to get into for some reason.seems like everything is affecting my ketosis which didnt happen the first time .any advice is appreciated

  10. Dr. Berry, thank you for making keto so approachable and easy to understand, even for beginners like me! Seeing these amazing success stories is incredibly motivating and makes me excited to start my own keto journey. It's inspiring to find a doctor who genuinely cares about helping people reclaim their health!

  11. I'm interested in starting with the KETO diet. I've done some research, and there is one thing that is holding me back. It looks like on a keto diet there are no easy meals you can buy, and just eating a quick slice of bread is not an option either. The thing is: I don't like cooking. I have been cooking since I was about 7 years old, and am almost 63 now, and I'm sick and tired of it and want it to be as quick and easy as possible. From what I have seen, keto isn't.
I know I won't be able to stick to it if it means I have to cook every day from scratch, as all the receipts I have seen are with a bunch of (often expensive) ingredients I don't know or don't like. For example: I'm not a bird, so I don't like eating seeds. I hate fish, and I can't eat a lot of things because I have IBS.
    So… now what?!

  12. This is such a clear and concise explanation of keto – thank you for making it so easy to understand! Hearing all these success stories is incredibly motivating. Time to kick the sugar and seed oils and prioritize my health!

  13. I’m struggling sticking to it. I get lazy and then by the time I’m ready to eat, eat junk. I am not lying when I say I feel alive when I’m on keto. I feel so much better. My body screams when I don’t eat keto
