Today I want to cover nine signs you’re in ketosis.

Testing your ketones when you first start the keto diet can be helpful. But, the problem with testing your ketones long-term is that once you start to burn ketones efficiently, the tests aren’t very accurate.

Thankfully, there are nine clear signs that can tell you if you’re in ketosis or not.

Top signs of ketosis:
1. No keto transitioning symptoms (keto flu, keto fatigue, keto rash)

2. Weight loss (initial water weight)

3. Loose clothes around the waist

4. An increase in energy

5. A boost in cognitive function

6. Less inflammation and pain

7. Feeling satisfied after eating

8. Better mood

9. No appetite

  1. The tests are accurate even if it goes to dark purple and then 2 weeks later or 3 weeks later it's very light pink you're still in ketosis and your scales will tell you that… And if you've gone like 2 months then treat yourself to a meal and go back into it and it will lose more and more fat

  2. Please help. I have fibromyalgia, type 1 diabetes and on insulin pump, with highs and lows, Primary Biliary Cholangitis -not suppose to eat meats high in fats. How do I deal with lows, and how do I eats fats?

  3. I tested mine in the beginning with strips, but I can tell by my breath and pee odor. I think keto does something to digestion bugs , I ate brussel sprouts and had the worst gas I have ever had!! I love brussels!

  4. Watching in 2025 and glad I have most of these! Just would like to add that #7 #8 and #9 might vary on women’s cycle. The cravings, mood, and appetite may affected by hormones. Or maybe I am finding excuses for myself 😂

  5. Carnivore diet is for lazy beginners! Uninformed people who are stund by how there boddy changes when u start taking responsibility for it. It was not the meet folks! Just saying there is sooo much more ! U have no idea!

  6. I'm three weeks into Ketosis and never felt better. I have more energy, clarity, my clothes already fit better, and I've lost 8 pounds so far. I have previously done keto before, for three and half years and regret every stopping it. I am so proud of myself for getting back into it as I do not find it easy.
