Been doing pharmaceuticals for as long as keto too?
I've been low carb for almost a decade to reverse PCOS (which it did 🙌)… I found higher fat lower protein didn't work for me but higher protein moderate fat does very well… More satiated, less sluggish, no food noise, better energy levels & sleep 😌
Thanks for posting this! High-fat keto doesn't work at all for me. I'm ravenous and can easily eat 4000kcal. I feel better with >200g protein a day and less fat.
Don’t need to chase ketones! I’d rather burn fat! Higher ketones aren’t necessary unless you doing therapeutic keto for metabolic issues!
I am so happy I just came across this! I've been keto for over a year and I unfortunately have trouble with too much fat (epi) but also can't do carbs without it sending my blood sugar on a rollercoaster ride. Thanks for telling us we don’t have to be dogmatic. I knocked myself out of ketosis probably due to too high protein so thought I had to be stay within the strictest guidelines. I’ll ease off and find what works best for me. Conservative keto is too low in protein to retain muscle and repair well lifting 5 days a week.

Ketones are just the result of fat burning, actually if your ketones are too high, it simply means you’re eating too much fat. That’s an issue, you want to burned stored fat.
What are/were your ketone levels consistently on that macro mix? Seem to struggle to stay above 1.0mm when I go that heavy on Protein…drops down to 0.8mm
Higher protein definitely worked for me.
