@Thomas and community. Great job on this one buddy! One important thing I will add/emphasize is that soluble fiber slows gut-transit, whereas insoluble fiber can decrease gut-transit time (but if you have chronic consitpation, you may need a no or low-fiber "gut microbiome reset"). Another thing to point out is that, while fiber can, in some people, accutely decrease ketones, over the long term (>1 day) it appears to stabilize blood sugar and, in some people, increase ketones. When I eat more leafy greens consistently, my ketones are about 0.5 mM higher. Food for thought (like nobody has made that pun before).
Talking shit
Any updates on this science?
🙏😎🥇
Whats the list?
I love keto! ❤
Here’s a hack to try, throw 15-20g or chia seeds into a serving or two of your favorite fatty sauce (avocado chipotle mayo for me)mixed w some water spread it all over your protein of choice
@Thomas, has your mind changed or has there been new studies since this video, that explain the importance for fiber as a food for the gut microbiome?
Thank you for this nice video 🙂 would it be possible to add the FAT content in each of these foods? It may help some of us with high cholesterol?? Thanks so much!
I just learned so much from you about all these fiber foods.thank you Thomas! This helps
walnuts, chia and olives!….heaven
Bruh im watching this cuz im constipated on the toilet
Hello. Question. Are fat bombs meant to keep one in ketosis or is it more for satisfying a sweet tooth?
So, in the chart, under fiber, that is the total of both soluble and insoluble fiber? Also, is soluble fiber and pre-biotic the same thing? Anyone. Thanks!
Please. Talk. Slower.
Please. Talk. Slower.
Great info. Thanks 🙏
don;t eat the flax seed whole! You don't even mention that. They come out the other end as whole.. GRIND THEM!!
I’m so confused. What does he mean about the ratio. How does he work that one out?? Anybody, Anybody??. Thanks in advance.
“Each these foods have a little explanation…its not grab a snapshot and run away without watching the full video”…it really made me laugh cuz I was thinking to do so 🤣🤣🤣
Does one presoak the seeds as in making a popular pudding or should one consume chia/flax in a dry setting like bake into crackers? Does the “gel” effect in the intestines work better when they are NOT soaked as in a pudding?
Man, you know your shit. I’ve seen a number of your videos over the years and I love how you present your information.
Chia seeds, got it. No need to listen to all the bs
Zero fiber for me…..causes constipation and bloating….CARNIVORE
This Guy the truth
Can dietary fiber gummies or supplements be useful?
I’ve been struggling with constipation, hard stool. Not sure how to fix this. I’ve been adding fiber supplements to my diet. I’ve been drinking a lot of water. Not sure how to fix this with out eating more carbs as sugar from fruits and prunes.
This may be covered somewhere but I missed it if it is. What is the serving size of the ones that arent listed?
Does it make any difference if the Chia and Flax seeds are milled – are they better when milled?
"But in order for me to keep it simple, … I have to sort of make it complex….. : ) " he heh
I hope you see this: Jillian's at it again / Can you address this so we all know she is still wrong? She claims a few new things now addressed before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNtIE2Ln7j8
Fiber not required
People on the carnivore diet seem to have no issue and they have zero fiber
Oatmeal is out ☹️
Please please make a video on the proper way to have a cheat meal on a ketogenic diet. I have gone 4 weeks with no sugar and no carbs and I'm afraid that one day I will give in and all my hard work would go to waist.
A year with out fibre for me and I’ve never felt better.
I can tell you this…the ONLY time I get plugged up is when I go off keto and eat lots of carbs. It completely stops me. I have no problem even with minimal fibre on keto going. Keeps me regular.
Hi Thomas, I have a question, the numbers on spinach is raw or cooked? Does it change when is cooked? Thank you for the videos, they are my keto jam 🙂
Any thoughts on psyllium husks?
Hi, i'm new to the channel, came from your collab with Dr Berg. is there a healthy way to gain weight? I am training for a marathon and I run >20km/week, lean-build body. Thanks Thomas
