Everything I eat in a day trying to gain weight

  1. You need the carbs to gain. It’s called balking. Easier to turn fat into muscle than build muscle on muscle. As a weight lifter and nurse, I can tell you that you’re not eating the calories you need to gain the weight. You can use protein but you’ll need to eat 3-4x your body weight in grams to do that. Eat more healthy carbs.

  2. I find to not bother with the sugar free stuff. It’s never as good, doesn’t do the trick and you just want the real thing after. Just factor in the real deal into your daily calories.

But the good news is if you are trying to gain, carbs aren’t your enemy!!

  3. You should probably stop eating all of the processed stuff and stick to real Whole Foods: eggs, jerky, yogurt, grass fed/finished and pasture-raised eggs. Learn to cook from scratch. Little tip from a farmer who works out everyday and stays healthy

  4. You gotta have some good fats and good carbs to gain weight. Almonds as a snack won't help ya gain weight. Eat some potatoes and definitely more Avacados. You need to eat more for meals as well. Also suggest switching sugar for honey/maple syrup. You can bake that into desserts instead of sugar. Your body digest it better

  5. Honestly I think about eating a treat in the evening like this, if someone has the willpower to stop doing hard drugs then I can have the willpower to not eat the unnecessary treat. Maybe this will help some others! Treats aren’t inherently bad though. I don’t think one treat in the evening will harm your goals. It’d be more like if you had a cookie, then think just one more, then end up eating 5-6 cookies.
