  1. I don't think red peppers or the others are so high in net carbs. I eat them and my total is usually 20-30g net carbs a day

    Isn't keto under 50g/day but nutritional ketosis (deep ketosis for cancer, mental illness treatment) under 20?

  2. Very interesting. I didn’t think about the sugar content of veg aside from carbs. I’m not doing keto to lose weight it’s to manage blood sugar because I get fatigued and dizzy when my sugar rises too much. I’m not even diabetic 😮 and always have “perfect sugar” when my blood is tested. I think my body overproduces insulin and I get hypoglycemic when I eat too high carb. I learned that with my son when he was born his pancreas produces crazy amount of insulin and would give him dangerous hypoglycemia. We were a month in the NICU getting glucagon treatment to pump all the insulin out of his body. Crazy how insulin affects things even when not diabetic.
