  1. You should have mentioned the other point that is critically important, which is when you cook foods that have phytates, it gets rid of them. But raw nuts are a bit of a trap since I see them sold in the grocery stores.

  2. So as far as raw almonds are you saying we should eat roasted almonds and roasted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc? Im so confused 🤔 I switched to raw thinking it was better. Go back to roasted? Thanks guys in advance.

  3. Soaking them isnt enough. You have to sprout them and take the skin off too. So soak, drain, sprout until small root forms, deskin and then dry. The skin from nuts contain large amounts of oxalates. Also an antrinutrient and the 2nd largest cause of kidney stones.

That's one of the reasons I dont use Almond milk. Googling oxalate content in them, its very high because they were not sprouted first.

Sprouting instantly deactivates the antrinutrient as the protection against anamals eating them (anti nutrient action) is no longer needed and all its energy is diverted to growing the "seed".

  4. Soaking nuts in water over night is “not enough time” to allow them to sprout. I rinsed off peanuts in water to get the maltodextrin off them, and they became soggy and chewy and terrible to eat.
