Ingredients and Substitutions
You only need 4 base ingredients to make these bites.

- Greek Yogurt – This forms the creamy base of the frozen bites and contributes to their high protein content. Plain yogurt, including dairy-free coconut yogurt, works well. Flavored yogurt makes different flavor profiles possible, so go for vanilla yogurt if you like a stronger vanilla flavor.
- Maple Syrup – This sweetens the bites. Sugar-free maple syrup or allulose work for those watching their sugar intake.
- Powdered Peanut Butter – This adds a peanut butter flavor and protein. Collagen protein powder, vanilla protein powder, natural peanut butter, or sunflower seed butter also work. Skipping this and adding vanilla extract is also fine.
- Blueberries – These add a burst of fruity flavor and texture. Raspberries or finely chopped strawberries are also great.
- Dark Chocolate Chips – When melted with coconut oil, these create a delicious (but optional) chocolate coating.
- Coconut Oil – This helps melt the chocolate chips smoothly.

Carine’s Tips
Let me share a few tips for perfect bites.
- Flavored Yogurt Variety – Use flavored Greek yogurt, such as vanilla or strawberry, to create different yogurt bite flavors.
- Nutty Snickers Bites – Add a pinch of crushed peanuts on top for a Snickers-inspired flavor.
- Creamier Peanut Butter Option – Substitute powdered peanut butter with real peanut butter for a creamier texture, but note that this increases calories and fat.
- Nut-Free Alternatives – Use sunflower seed butter or vanilla protein powder as a nut-free alternative to powdered peanut butter.
- Vary the Toppings – Experiment with toppings like shredded coconut or freeze-dried strawberries.
- Berry Swaps – Finely chopped strawberries work well in place of blueberries.
- Plain Yogurt Bites – Skip the berries and nuts for simple, plain yogurt bites.
- Proper Thawing – Thaw the bites at room temperature for 10-12 minutes before serving for a creamier texture.
- Even Distribution – Divide the yogurt mixture evenly into the silicone mold for consistent bite sizes.
- Melt Chocolate in Bursts – Melt the chocolate in 30-second microwave bursts to prevent burning.
