– 1 head of cabbage |
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). |
– 1 pound ground beef |
2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the whole head of cabbage and cook for a few minutes until the outer leaves are soft and pliable. Drain the cabbage and let it cool. |
– 1/2 cup diced onion |
3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat. |
– 2 cloves garlic, minced |
4. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and other spices of your choice. |
– 1 teaspoon salt |
5. Remove the cabbage leaves one by one, being careful not to tear them. Trim down the thick stem at the base of each leaf. |
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
6. Place a spoonful of the ground beef mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides of the leaf over the filling and roll it up tightly. |

7. Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in a baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce over the rolls, covering them completely. |
– 1 cup tomato sauce |
8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the filling is cooked through. |
