  1. Hi Kait! I have been slowly reducing my carbs and increasing my protein for the past 2 months, with the intention of going full keto. Your channel has been very helpful with my transition from not a SAD, but a what I always thought was very healthy whole foods diet. Since starting to have some very disturbing and life-altering symptoms a few years ago, I have been trying to find out what's wrong with me. After countless doctors visits, specialists, naturopaths, etd, and plenty lab and imaging tests, everything comes back "normal". But I feel AWFUL!
    Reading more about the keto diet and hearing so many testimonials, I decided I would give keto a try for myself, in hopes of regaining my health.
    Today is my 3rd day of full keto, and so far so good!

  2. I was waiting for #8 😅 Fasting is my favourite way to stay in ketosis ☺️ It seriously has so many health benefits and after some time it really comes so easily. However I strongly recommend adding different lengths of fasting (sometimes not fasting at all) if you don’t want to get stuck – this is what happened to me before I knew how important it is to change up my fasting window.

  3. Great video. The financial savings that are to be had by eating low carb have been numerous for me. More low carb/Keto content creators like you should talk more about how this lifestyle can cost less than a conventional high carb diet. Like you said, the natural prolonged satiety that comes from eating more fat and protein leads effortlessly to intermittent fasting. That has been the one key factor in substantially reducing our food bill. I’ve been OMADing for months and there’s also the reduction in energy use for cooking that shouldn’t be overlooked.

    It’s great that you mentioned tinned fish. I eat a lot of fresh fish but I always have a stack of tinned mackerel in the cupboard.

    One of the funniest savings I’ve made is that my car now ferries around five and a half stone (77lbs) less of me! There’s been a noticeable drop in my fuel consumption. My dentist has recognised that I eat less sugar so my check ups have dropped from six-monthly to yearly. Another saving.

    Another tip is to get a slow cooker. They’re cheap to run and and they can tenderise cheaper cuts of meat beautifully. I do lambs hearts in ours. They come out so tender and tasty!

  4. Great video Kait. I’m 7 years Keto and my weekday meals are mostly the same. Coffee with light cream. Lunch is a Garden salad with Canned Tuna and olive oil. Dinner might be eggs, a stir fry or roasted veggies with a protein. Higher protein lower fat is where I’m at now with my macros.

  5. Almost 3 months of doing carnivore. Instead of grocery shopping once a week, we hit Sam’s Club once a month and stock up on meat and other animal products. I estimate that we’re spending less overall, plus there’s very little waste. I always hated it when I bought a bunch of fresh veggies, with the best intentions of course, only to have to throw so much away when I couldn’t use it fast enough. Meal prep is so much easier now, especially when I use my Instant Pot, either as a slow cooker or pressure cooker.

    Our goal is to save up to buy a larger freezer and purchase either a half or a full steer.

  6. Waiting for my quarter beef order to be processed. Local farmer and processor benefits them as well. I so appreciate my chest freezer! Last time we did this after the fair, it averaged to about $6.30 per pound, which included steaks and ribeyes and roasts of all kinds. Great price! This time I asked for all offal and bones, and I’m getting fat trimmings thrown in for free!

  8. Hi mam, i started lchf on may 2020 and now in october I lost 35 kg (from 115 kg to 80 kg). Now i am fully healthy. Dark skin around neck gone, no uric acid problem. Waist size reduced from 123 cm to 97 cm. My target weight is 72 kg. Only problem is hair loss. Can you make a video on how to deal with hair loss on keto diet
