I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid. Today I‘m pretty sure it is AuDHD.
Over the years I made lots of dietairy changes. Radically removed any convenience Food and sugar (with except from fruits and other natural sources) and even spices for like a year. This helped detox my tastebuds and since then, I cannot even eat any store bought cookies and when I bake (rarely) I use like 30% of the sugar amount.
Next thing where the carbs. Used to eat so much noodles when I was young… Now I found out I have intolerance against any noodles, bread and other wheat based things. Might be gluten but weirdly even non-gluten noodles make my stomach rumble and having unpleasant gases…
It get‘s as far as having major feeling of depression and being completly drained out even though I had energy before. The next day of eating wheat I would be totally wreaked, like having a hangover.
In the same time I drastically upped my Protein consumption. A LOT of eggs, smoked porkbelly, sardines and other fishes. But also plant-based stuff like nut-creams (hazelnut, peanut, almond etc.) the are a GREAT source of Protein, Magnesium AND IRON! Even more then most meat.
Feeling much better since then.
BUT, and thats why I write here, I would still like to point out that Carbohydrates are still important and I don‘t believe in radical diets. Maybe you just need the right type of carbyhydrates.
For me, I only eat potatoe and rice based carbs because I know my body digests it well and because they are not processed (atleast in their original form)
Balance is important and our body needs 3 MAIN types of ingredients in food to be healthy.
These are sugar/carbohydrates, protein and (healthy) fats.
So, for me atleast, my diet was too much carb-based and not enough protein-based. But a healthy and also yummy meal (for ME) always contains these 3 types of food.
I feel that since taking care of that, my food never leaves me with a feeling that I need to eat more.
True need to eat a proper diet

ADHD is a myth created to sell drugs that destroy your mental health.
Any science or just saying you did a thing?
Ok but how? I get up to go make the food and bam suddenly it's 7pm and I haven't even started dinner. And I also realized…. I didn't eat lunch 😅
I found that fasting until autophoghy has made a huge difference in my life. I’m, calmer, I think clearer. It’s almost as if it goes away. I Kai eliminated my sugar and carb intake.
I have to challenge this. I had adult adhd, went off medication for YEARS. Dealt with it. I did the carnivore diet as strict as it could get for 6 months. Lost plenty of weight. But gained blood pressure and general malaise. I can remember eating my first non carnivore meal, which was crap spaghetti. Yet feeling a rush of energy and change. Finally got back on ADHD medication and it changed my life for the better. I still do splits of carnivore for a couple of weeks, which really helps my gut tract. But also have tried a couple of weeks vegetarian with similar results. Hope I could get a better answer if one at all from an expert. But seemed more like a “change” or fast than anything to myself
I got diagnosed last September. While the medication has improved my quality of life in regards to energy and productivity and controlling addictive behaviour patterns, it is absolutely useless if I don't have sleep, diet and exercise in check and part of that is being on a ketogenic diet. In fact, if I'm not eating right and sleeping right, the medication actually works against me and puts me into that wired state of paralysis that I had pre-diagnosis. I also suspect I might be ASD too, which might explain why when one part of my routine slips, the rest topples like a house of cards. I always needed the routine, but was unable to establish it. Now I can, the next challenge is sustaining it!
I desperately need to know more about this. Can anyone send me any more information please please please
This is not correct. Eating good just makes u feel so good that adhd wants u to die because life to real and boring 🙁 if anyone can figure this one id love to know. Want to go back on carnivorous diet
My anxiety levels definitely went down on a PHD, but my ADD seems much worse.🫤
Everytime I try to go low carb I get irritable and extremely depressed.
Please make a full video and interview ADHD specialists as well as people like us who suffer from this ?
A proper human diet includes nuts seeds vegetables fruits and whole grains and starch
