  1. I’ve got a favour to ask! If you enjoy this conversation, please double check that you’ve liked the video and subscribed to the channel! That's a small way you can help us carry on doing this, really appreciate you! ❤🙏🏾

  2. my heart is broken.. For some reason.. i think about all the mothers who’s kids are autistic, suffer from ADHD.. And menta health and they just want help they want resources and pills are sholved down their throat.. they till them it’s nothing else aside from medications then those same kids become adults and they are stuck on these medications It’s heart breaking

  3. That’s my worst part of keto.. the start. I like to go 3months on then have a week off but always dread coming back to it because of insomnia and fatigue. The benefits are worth it though, this diet has helped me through a lot.

  4. I went on the diet for over a year and it works for me. I lost fifty pounds, my skin became beautiful, my mind became razor sharp, I became joyful, and my energy was that of a twenty year old and I am 73.

  5. all of this is very nice to hear, but. I have listened to many podcasts about keto diet, and nobody tells us about the ketoacidosis, which is superdangerous if your insuline level falls too low. so, it's really important to measure the glucose and ketone levels in blood if you are dieting this way because ketoacidosis is just an antipode of hiperglycemia.

  6. It's time we put a spotlight on the ultra processed foods industry. They're poisoning us and the medical industry is profiting big time. They want us sick forever. It's good for business! I really enjoyed this interview. One of the best.

  7. It's crazy to hear the term Metabolic Psychology is new
It's like every mechanic in the world working on every car in the world
They all run like a busted asshole and in like 100 years no one ever though to check the fuel
    Just blows my mind

Anyway I've been doing Keto for three months, down 40kg, green BMI for the first time in my adult life
But the real gold is my mood, I feel fucking fantastic
I've never had energy like this before

  8. „Psychiatria Keto: Co keto robi z ciałem” (tematyka tzw. psychiatrii metabolicznej).
    1. 🔬 CO SIĘ DZIEJE W CIELE NA KETO (FUNDAMENT)
    ➤ Zmiana paliwa:
Normalnie organizm działa na glukozie (cukier)
Na keto → przechodzi na ciała ketonowe (z tłuszczu)
    Leczenia
👉 To jest fundamentalna zmiana metaboliczna:
    mózg zaczyna „jeść” ketony
    spada zapotrzebowanie na glukozę
    ➤ Stan ketozy:
    2. 🧠 WPŁYW NA MÓZG (KLUCZ FILMU)
    Film mocno podkreśla:
➤ Keto działa jak „stabilizator mózgu”
    mniej wahań energii
    mniej „skoków cukru”
    bardziej stabilne funkcjonowanie neuronów
    ➤ Neuroprzekaźniki:
    zwiększa się GABA (uspokajający)
    zmniejsza się nadmierna aktywność glutaminianu
    👉 efekt:
    mniej lęku
    mniej nadpobudliwości
➤ Mitochondria (bardzo ważne w filmie)
    keto poprawia pracę mitochondriów
    czyli „elektrowni” komórkowych
👉 wniosek filmu: 👉 wiele chorób psychicznych może mieć podłoże metaboliczne
    3. 🔥 STAN ZAPALNY I MÓZG
    Film podkreśla:
    👉 keto:
    obniża stan zapalny
    poprawia funkcjonowanie mózgu
    To ważne, bo:
    depresja
    zaburzenia lękowe
    często mają komponent zapalny
    4. ⚡ INSULINA I STABILNOŚĆ
    ➤ Na keto:
    spada poziom insuliny
    stabilizuje się cukier we krwi
    👉 co to daje:
    mniej „zjazdów”
    mniej drażliwości
    mniej napadów głodu
    5. 🧠 KETO A PSYCHIATRIA (SEDNO FILMU)
    Telepolis
    6. ⚠️ TRUDNY ETAP ADAPTACJI („KETO FLU”)
    Film mówi wprost:
    ➤ Początek jest ciężki:
    zmęczenie
    bóle głowy
    rozdrażnienie
    spadek energii
    👉 to efekt:
    zmiany paliwa
    zaburzeń elektrolitów
    7. ⚠️ RYZYKA I OSTRZEŻENIA (WAŻNE!)
Film NIE idealizuje keto – pokazuje zagrożenia:
    ➤ Możliwe problemy:
    pogorszenie nastroju na początku
    problemy ze snem
    nadmierna restrykcyjność
    ➤ W psychiatrii szczególnie ważne:
    możliwe zaostrzenie objawów
    np. epizody maniakalne lub psychotyczne
    Termedia
    8. 🍳 „KETO TO NIE BACON + SER” (WAŻNY FRAGMENT)
    Film krytykuje tzw. „brudne keto”:
👉 jeśli dieta jest źle robiona:
    niedobory
    problemy jelitowe
    stan zapalny
    👉 zdrowe keto =:
    dobre tłuszcze
    warzywa
    równowaga
    9. 🧠 PSYCHOLOGICZNY ASPEKT (CIEKAWY WĄTEK)
    Film zwraca uwagę:
👉 keto to też wyzwanie psychiczne:
    kontrola jedzenia
    presja utrzymania diety
    izolacja społeczna
    👉 może prowadzić do:
    obsesji
    stresu
🔚 WNIOSKI Z FILMU (BARDZO WAŻNE)
Film sprowadza się do kilku kluczowych punktów:
    ✅ Keto:
    zmienia metabolizm całego ciała
    wpływa silnie na mózg
    może wspierać leczenie psychiatryczne
    ❗ ALE:
    nie jest dla każdego
    nie jest cudownym lekiem
    wymaga wiedzy i kontroli

  9. I'm on keto for only two days now. I can not believe how much I have already changed physically and mentally: I lost 3 pounds (mainly water I suppose), I'm less bloated, my sugar cravings are gone, and my anxiety has reduced significantly. I'm eating very clean and mostly unsaturated fats. I initially thought there's no way for me to stay in a calorie deficiency with all these fats but fat makes me so full, I have a hard time even reaching 1,500. (I used to eat around 2,000) The past two days I only had around 1000-1300 calories which is insane for my normal eating pattern. I also do intermittent fasting at the same time. I think I'm insulin resistant and I have had a very hard time losing any weight for the past 2 years. Nothing worked until now.

  10. Diet (but in combination with exercise and self discipline) reversed MS symptoms to a significant degree – and she emphasizes that the regimen must be followed religiously till the end of life – for doctor Terry Halls, she is a famous doctor and is recommended to MS patients by other doctors; there is a video where she describes how from being bed ridden she recovered to the point where she was again able to go biking, nutrition affects the brain more than anyone can imagine! Everybody should really pay more attention to what they eat, search youtube for "Learn How This Doctor Healed Her Multiple Sclerosis Through Diet and Lifestyle | Dr. Terry Wahls". CEO, Thank you for the immensely interesting and educational content on your channel, you deserve the success you have with your youtube endeavor. You don't just promote an idea or topic, but you also play the devil's advocate, and i agree with somebody's else comment somewhere under one of your videos, your interviewing technique is marvelous. Don't stop! We rely on ppl like you.

  11. 46M, excellent shape, very active (calisthenics + HIIT), good labs overall.

Recently started having more rumination, frustration, and mild depressive symptoms (likely life transition—kids moved out).

    Current labs (low-carb diet):

    TG: 57 mg/dL
    LDL-C: ~190 mg/dL
    HDL-C: 79 mg/dL
    Total T: 1120 ng/dL

Seems close to Lean Mass Hyper-Responder (LMHR profile).

    Question:

Is there any real benefit (mood, focus, cognition) in going full ketogenic in a case like mine?

Or, given already low TG / high HDL / high activity, could stricter carb restriction be neutral or even negative (fatigue, higher SHBG, lower free T)?

Looking for insights from people with similar profiles.

  12. I have binge watching a lot of your videos on eating the right foods and fasting. Last month I decided to give up processed food so I started making all my meals. I also gave up sugar, not all sugar just processed sugar, no pastries, chocolate or candy. I started fasting gradually by skipping just dinner. The first two weeks it was intense, I am on my fourth week and all sugar cravings are gone. Fruit tastes extra sweet now. I also don’t feel the need to eat all the time. Thank you so much for what you are bringing to light. 💕

  13. Hi Guys, can anyone recommend a simple keto meal plan that I can stick to?

I’m based in the UK. I find it very overwhelming looking at all the videos online. I need help and would really be grateful to team up with some one for support.

  14. I first did keto for 20 months in 2015-2017 with absolutely no cheat days, went from 315 to 175, cystic acne gone, depression gone and adhd able to be used to my benefit instead of detriment. This was as a 25 yr old female with life long obesity, chronic hives, allergies and postpartum. A few years ago a tramatic experience threw me off and ive been sufffering for a couple years now. Just started omad keto last week and im already back on track to feeling like i used to! I wish my psych would talk about nutrition instead of just changing my meds

  15. Dear Stephen and DOAC Team, I want to thank you guys for this amazing and always super helpful podcast, it has given me such incredible and awesome info and knowledge.
However I have a question if you have any plan on taking onto your show someone that can or is good with back, specifically, lower back pain. Just curious and once again thanks for your awesome content!!! Cheers from Switzerland 🇨🇭

  16. I went on the keto diet to lose around 4kg after my bulking phase to reduce hunger. Now I am on keto for almost 6 months and never going off. I have Autism and the mental clarity I get from keto is unbelievable. My depression is basically gone. Suicide ideation gone. Going medium carb for one day will leave me depressed for 3 days after.
