  1. Excellent advice, Doctor. I discovered your channel last night hand have been binging all day. We live in the High Point area and I’m curious to know the name of your favorite BBQ place over there. Thanks for all you do. Scott

  2. Great video Doc!! Regarding those yummy creamy salad dressings – gotta watch out for the seed oils in those. Here is what ChatGPT says on why they pack them with seed oils:

    Why seed oils are common
    • Neutral flavor & low cost → Soybean oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil are inexpensive and don’t overpower flavor.
    • Texture & stability → They emulsify well with water, vinegar, and stabilizers, giving dressings their creamy consistency.
    • Long shelf life → Refined seed oils resist rancidity, making them ideal for mass-market products.

  3. One of the sad statements in this video to me and points to how we train our doctors in this country is when he said that he didn't know much about nutrition. even though he was a practicing doctor and nutrition should be one of the key things that doctors should be learning. because it's one of the key things to keep you healthy like what you eat plays a big part in how good of a quality of life you have and how healthy you are. in that quality of life the right way of eating can mean the difference between having a lot of energy during the day and it can help combat and prevent health problems so the fact that a doctor does not know about nutrition or is not taught that in their educational process is a sad thing. because that should be year one of med school is teaching you about nutrition because that's how you prevent illness so you don't have to treat it later. my doctor mother may God Rest her Soul always used to say it is far better to prevent illness than it is to treat it.

Also it says a lot of how we look at Health Care in this country that we look at it more as a treatment for when you're ill then as help and support to prevent you from getting ill

  4. I love all of this, but It seems almost criminal to leave out that most mexican resaurants are going to use some kind of vegtable / seed oil on the grill. These freakin awful things stay in your sstem for 2 years.

  5. I wear a CGM, and keto with no starchy foods. Mexican restaurant is the most difficult. Tortillas are everywhere!!. Some very traditional dishes are excellent, but fajitas and no rice and no tortillas can work with a spoon for the salsa. On the asian, I pick the traditional menu items which are not a sweet sause, but are usually very spicy!!

  6. keto at a restaurant? easy peasy..I go for a stake each and every time with sautéed veggies in a butter sauce. A benefit…I can eat 10/12 oz stake and get up with a flat stomach after this meal.I typically never go to mexican or Chinese restaurants

  7. I go to Pizza Ranch when we go out. Best chicken around and get 3 wings and Kens blue cheese dressing for dip. Pizza I order thin crust extra sausage no chips, no onions comes with lots of lettuce and cheese – when I get it I scrape off the toppings and eat it. Other than that we will eat at Applebees and get a bacon cheeseburger no bun no ketchup served in lettuce wrap. I am one of those people who can eat 1 chip, and one French fry. My husband is 85 and 75 myself and i have lots of willpower 😅. We go out only once a month to eat dinner at about 1 pm otherwise I do all the cooking at home except supper my husband always makes himself a salad and I have some kind of meat or eggs

  8. Yes, it's easy. Romaine lettuce salad with olive oil dressing, steak, fish or chicken, no bread, potatoes or desert. We eat at a local fast food place with good quality local sourced meat. Order a double burger and just eat it with the bottom bun. No fries or soda.

  9. Man the number of races you manage to offend by calling egg rolls and chicken satay etc as Chinese food and scrapped off toppings as pizzas…!😂 Seriously though I'm Chinese and real Chinese dishes often are very, very low carb as real Chinese people actually eat dishes that are 70-80% keto friendly alongside a large bowl of white rice and ends with deserts. Assuming we eat with the three macros relatively the same you can only imagine how much carbs are in the actual dishes.

  10. We don’t have an Outback steakhouse here any more. It’s been years. As I recall you had to choose your entrée, veg and starch. We would just choose grilled veggies and grilled chicken or steak. And that was years before I was into keto.

  11. I would like to now how to keto diet in a senior care home. I find it very difficult. everything is breaded ,everything is drenched in gravy or sauce that you cant get plain its already done. they serve a lot of sandwiches and sugary treats at night that people love. soups are vegetable. im frustrated desserts are always cake or fruit in syrup. i honestly think seniors should get a better diet. make a video what u can do in a care home. thx

  12. My diet is low-ish carb. Am managing to lose weight, but still crave carbs. I have high carb days for special occasions, but manage to get back to my normal eating as soon as possible. I'm obviously eating too many carbs, but can't cope with total carnivore, or to go under 20 g carbs per day. Impossible for me, and I do this because I know that it has to be sustainable. Therefore, current diet is sustainable, but I still crave carbs. I am aged 65, currently weighing in at 70 kg. My top weight was 117 kg! Feeling okay, looking okay, but with lots of extra skin.

  13. Thank you! Went to Chinese Buffet on carnivore way of eating. Had steak and pork they fried it up for me. Also a fresh oyster. I tried some clams also (but it had some sauce). But even carnivore can be done!

  14. Been doing keto for 5 months now, and the first 2 weeks were the hardest for me… headaches and fatigue and depression as I detoxed off of carbs… I’ve lost about 40lbs and all my jeans fit me again! But the depression never left me I still crave carbs… I freaking miss rice and beans man 😂

  15. “Safe Mode” may not be the best depiction. Safe mode in computing is a suboptimal setting, barebones basic to get you around an issue at the expense of other capabilities.

It’s more like a “default setting” where operations are predetermined, but can be later tweaked for optimal operation.

  16. Sir, very informative but your delivery is monotone, I appreciate the education you're serving but the delivery needs some "cut to the chase". I'm 100% sure you know what you are talking about, and you're definitely smarter than me. I say this as a compliment, just the delivery was a drawn out, a little too many "uhs". Thank you by all means.

  17. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
You are both a pioneer in food health & in metabolic healing. I believe everyone should start with your diet plans, & if your even more severely impaired than most people, go onwards to a more focused daily meal plan like Carnivore. I am in the latter group, woth serious gut & digestive issues from doctor's over prescribing antibiotics for acne. When all I needed to do during that time was to cut all sugar and carbs from my diet, & the acne improved by 85% within ~21 days.

I hope to eat like you describe in this great video 1 day soon, but ea time I introduced just 1 food group, beyond fatty red meat & Egg (yolk only is critical for myself I learned as well) it causes issues that I am not willing to tolerate yet.
You are doing God's work Doctor. Please 🙏 keep helping people take back their lives, 1 healing meal at a time!! You truly are 1 of the unsung heros of thos lifestyle!

  18. I went to my Chinese restaurant on thanksgiving, and they had a whole smoked turkey, partially sliced, I took a drumstick and a thigh! I was stuffed! There is plenty of food to eat, low carb. Shrimp, chicken, fish, frog legs, beef and broccoli! Last night I had a pound of wague burger for dinner, and half a glass of heavy whipping cream, and half a glass of eggnog! Been on carnivore since August 8, lost 25 lbs, and 6 inches off my waist! I’m 77, and 100 percent disabled, so I spend most of my time home in my chair! No more swollen legs and feet, no more gout attacks! I haven’t gained any weight back, or inches! If I wasn’t fed so much BS from the medical field, I never would have been in the condition I’m in! I was under a doctor’s care, since I retired, but when I got worse, I knew I had to change something, before I loose my toes and feet! My wife thinks I am crazy, but the results, say otherwise! When I see other overweight people, I think there is another person needing proper medical information! Thanks for video, I have plenty of time to watch your videos! My pants are getting bigger, and I’m still ambulatory! Slipped and fell on the ice, yesterday, but still going!

  19. If you eat at a pizza place like Domino's, you wont get as full as buying the meat on your own. There's and ingredient list on their website and on some of their boxes. Lots of vegetable oil in their food

  20. Well you have grown on me. Lol. I really enjoy your videos. I do keto and I feel so much better. I might be low carb actually because I go above 19 carbs around 23 carbs instead. Thanks for all your great information! You are terrific!

  21. Another tip for fast food is at places like Wendy’s and McDonald’s you can ask about their À la carte menu and order just the beef patties while not be best quality beef in the world it’s still reassuring to know that’s an option available

  22. If daily carb intake reduces from toast, rice, cereal, pasta, and so on and is swapped for the equivalent of half a muffin per day, why would there be possibly any harm in that? Zero carbs is no fun. Can I swap the years 105 & 106 for more carbs? If there is no enjoyment at all, it’s like what’s the point?
