Why Dietitians MUST Study Biochemistry

Dietitians must possess a strong understanding of biochemistry to effectively translate complex metabolic processes into practical dietary recommendations tailored to individual needs and conditions. This knowledge allows them to accurately assess the impact of food components on cellular function, hormonal regulation, and disease prevention, ensuring evidence-based and personalized nutrition plans.

  1. Humans beings had to invent dieticians and nutritionists.
    Wow !
How on Earth did humans survive & thrive say 3.7 million years ago ?
No dietician to guide them "avoid margarine"
No 'professional' telling them "you need to go on the 5:2 diet"

  2. I’ve had hypothyroid, a pituatary tumour and diabetes. I have the metabolism of a dead fish….I’ve seen numerous dieticians and not one addressed these disorders. It was always the same diet as everyone else….who don’t have metabolic disorders. I don’t have time for dieticians..anymore.
